Production   The process of manufacturing goods to be sold.
Capacity utilization   The extent to which the company’s plant and equipment are currently being used in production.
Volume of new orders   The magnitude of new requests from customers for your company to manufacture, supply or deliver goods.
Growth rate of orders   The change in the volume of requests for your company to manufacture, supply or deliver goods.
Unfilled orders   Order requests that have not been delivered.
Volume of shipments   The magnitude of manufactured products shipped to customers.
Delivery time   The amount of time that passes from production completion to receipt of the goods by the buyer. A decrease indicates a slower delivery time; an increase indicates a faster delivery time.
Materials inventories   The quantity of raw materials currently in stock.
Finished goods inventories   The quantity of manufactured goods in stock and ready for delivery.
Prices paid for raw materials   The overall price of the raw materials used in manufacturing the product(s).
Prices received for finished goods   The prices customers pay per unit of product.
Wages and benefits   The amount of wages and bonuses and the dollar equivalent of benefits and awards paid out by the company to full-time, part-time and contract workers as well as administrative and support staff.
Number of employees   The total number of workers, including full-time, part-time and contract workers in addition to administrative and support staff.
Average employee workweek   The average of total hours worked per week divided by the number of employees
Capital expenditures   The amount of money spent on construction, machinery and equipment.
