Having a Problem with a Company
That Is Not a Financial Institution?
Many other agencies have enforcement
and/or complaint-handling functions for products and
services used by consumers. The
Federal Trade Commission regulates companies that
are not financial institutions, such as mortgage companies,
department stores and credit bureaus. These entities
may also be regulated by your state’s consumer
protection or regulatory agencies.
Other federal agencies may also
be able to assist in resolving your consumer complaint.
See Complaint Contacts at Other
Regulatory Agencies.
