Visitor Information

Tours of the Dallas Fed

For educational groups, high-school juniors and seniors and above, tours are conducted by reservation only on Tuesdays and Thursdays during business hours. To schedule a tour, call 214-922-5250 or use the online tour request form.

Parking

Visitor parking is located on the north side of the building, with entry from Thomas Street.

Airport Transportation

Most major airlines fly to D/FW airport, located approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Dallas. Taxi service from D/FW to the Bank is approximately $30, and shuttle service is available for $15–$20. Taxi service from Love Field airport, located approximately six miles northwest of downtown, is $10–$12, and shuttle service is approximately $11.

Visitor Check-in

All visitors to the Bank must report to the guard desk, located in the lobby on Pearl Street, and present a reliable picture ID (driver’s license, company identification, etc.) to the Protection staff. A Protection Officer will issue a visitor’s badge, which the visitor must wear at all times while in the Bank and must return to the guard desk when leaving the Bank. Purses, briefcases and packages brought into the Bank by visitors are routinely searched by Protection Officers. After normal business hours, only those with employee identification badges may enter the Bank unless prior approval has been obtained.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited inside the building. The patio area on the north side of the building’s second floor and the cafeteria balcony are designated smoking areas.

Luggage Storage

Please check with the Protection Officer for availability.

Meeting Rooms

The Dallas Fed’s meeting facilities include an auditorium, the Southwestern Room and smaller training rooms, all located on the second floor, and the Tejas Room on the ground floor. Meeting rooms are also located in the curved "prow" on each level of the building’s 14-floor tower.

Elevators

The building has nine passenger elevators. Five serve the main tower (the west tower) from the basement to the 14th floor. The other four serve the low-rise tower (the east tower) from the basement to the sixth floor.

Telephones

Located on the second floor near the west tower elevators and outside the executive dining room.

Restrooms

Located in the lobby on the ground floor and on all floors near the elevators.

Cafeteria

Located near the auditorium on the second floor, the cafeteria is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

FEDMart

Located on the second floor of the Bank near the auditorium, the FEDMart carries souvenirs, small gifts and personal items.

U.S. Post Office

Letters and small packages may be mailed at the post office window located on the ground floor. Hours are 10:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Mailboxes are also found on the ground floor near the Pearl Street guard desk and on the second floor near the tower elevators. A stamp machine is available at all hours on the second floor near the tower elevators.

Automatic Teller Machine

An ATM is available on the second floor near the tower elevators.
