Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
Names Community Affairs Officer

DALLAS—Alfreda Norman has joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas as Community Affairs Officer.

Norman will oversee the Bank’s Community Affairs program, which supports the Eleventh Federal Reserve District’s economic growth by promoting community development, and fair and impartial access to credit.

In 1992, Norman was among the first neighborhood development officers hired by Bank of America in Texas and the first in Dallas. She went on to assume statewide Community Reinvestment Act responsibilities for Bank of America’s mortgage lending group, where she developed strategic community development plans benefiting low- and moderate-income communities.

Most recently, she held a management position at The Container Store corporate headquarters in Dallas. She has participated in numerous professional and community organizations, including Dallas Affordable Housing Coalition and Dallas Credit Coalition.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Norman was a supervisor in the Office of Cultural Affairs for the city of Dallas.

Norman is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the University of Virginia's Graduate School of Retail Banking.
