Dallas Fed Trimmed
Mean PCE 1.2 Percent
DALLAS—The Trimmed Mean
PCE inflation rate for November was 1.2 percent at an
annualized rate, according to the Federal Reserve Bank
of Dallas.
The overall Personal Consumption
Expenditures inflation rate for November, released by
the Bureau of Economic Analysis, was an annualized 0.1
percent, while the inflation rate for PCE excluding
food and energy was an annualized 0.5 percent.
The Trimmed Mean PCE inflation
rate for the 12-month period ending in November was
2.4 percent. Over the same 12 months, the price index
for overall PCE rose 1.9 percent and the price index
for PCE excluding food and energy rose 2.2 percent.
The Trimmed Mean PCE inflation
rate is an alternative measure of core inflation in
the price index for PCE. It is calculated by the Dallas
Fed, using data from the BEA.
