Tim Hopper is a senior economist
at the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
His areas of specialization
include regional economics, international finance and economic
forecasting. He writes on diverse topics, including the Gulf
Coast economy, international exchange rate fluctuations and
monetary policy rules. He also publishes in the Bank’s
regional newsletter, Houston Business.
Hopper holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of
Houston, an M.S. in economics from Louisiana State University
and a B.A. in economics from Baylor University.
