Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
Jahyeong Koo, a native of South Korea,
has been an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
since 1996. He reports to the Bank president on the current
conditions of the Asian economy and conducts long-term research
on international finance, applied time series analysis and
macroeconomics.
Koo's current research includes financial crisis management,
common currency areas in Asia and the Americas, the exchange
regimes in emerging markets and the effectiveness of foreign
exchange market intervention. He holds an M.A. in statistics
and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Oregon.
